You don't have to hold it together alone.
If lately you feel like you're held together with bubblegum and duct tape, if you're anxious, exhausted, and running on fumes, that's exactly who we're here for. Getting mental-health care in California shouldn't mean months on a waitlist, a two-hour round trip, or explaining yourself to someone who's watching the clock. Our online model removes the logistics so you can put your energy where it belongs: into feeling better. Every session happens on a secure, confidential platform, with a licensed clinician who actually has time for you. Come as you are. We'll take it one patch at a time.
Online mental-health care, built around your life
Whether you need someone to talk to, a thoughtful look at your medication, or both, you can access it from your couch, anywhere in the state.
Online psychiatry & medication management
A comprehensive evaluation, an accurate diagnosis, and a medication plan that's reviewed and adjusted with you over time, never set-and-forget. Ideal for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and more, with prescriptions sent to your local pharmacy.
Online therapy (CBT & DBT)
Talk therapy that goes after root causes, not just symptoms. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, your therapist helps you process what's underneath and build lifelong skills to manage stress, regulate emotions, and grow resilience.
Combined therapy + psychiatry
The most complete option: a single coordinated plan where your therapy and medication work together instead of in separate silos. Many clients find this blended approach gives the fastest, most durable relief.
Gene testing for medication matching
Tired of the trial-and-error medication cycle? Pharmacogenomic testing reads your unique genetic markers to predict which medications your body is likely to respond to best. One simple at-home cheek swab can take the guesswork out of finding the right fit.
GLP-1 medical weight loss
Medically supervised weight management with a fully online evaluation and GLP-1 medication shipped straight to your door. Because physical and mental health are deeply connected, we support the whole you, body and mind.
Not sure where to start?
That's normal, and it's exactly what the free consult is for. Tell us what's going on, ask anything, and we'll point you to the right kind of care. No pressure, no commitment.

Real clinicians who treat you like a person, not a chart
Dishina Singer
Dishina is a doctorally-prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Bubblegum & Duct Tape. After years inside traditional healthcare, she built this practice to put the humanity back into psychiatry, with care that feels less like an appointment and more like a conversation with someone who truly gets it.
She leads a handpicked team of licensed PMHNPs and family nurse practitioners who share one belief: healing is never one-size-fits-all. Together they bring clinical rigor and real warmth to every California visit, from first consult to long-term care.
Content on this page is reviewed by our clinical team to ensure it reflects current, responsible mental-health practice. It is for general education and is not a substitute for personalized medical advice.
Clear costs. No surprises. Care you can plan for.
Many psychiatric services can be billed to insurance, and we offer transparent self-pay rates for everything else. We confirm your coverage before your first visit.
In-network with many major plans
We're happy to bill insurance for eligible psychiatric services. Plans we work with include:
- Aetna
- Cigna
- United Healthcare
- Oscar
- Oxford (Optum)
- Carelon
- Quest Behavioral
- Regence BCBS
Insurance does not cover GLP-1 or certain elective services. Coverage varies by plan, so we'll verify your specific benefits before you're charged. Have a plan you don't see? Ask us anyway.
Wherever you are in California, care comes to you
Because every visit is virtual, you can see a licensed California provider from any city or town in the state, with no commute, no travel, and no zip-code limits.

Wish I Found Them Sooner!
I can’t say enough good things about this clinic. I started with a free consultation just to ask some questions and see if this was the right fit. From the very first call, I felt heard and understood, not rushed or judged.. They really took the time to listen and explain my options without any pressure, and I finally feel like I have a plan that actually works for me. It’s clear they genuinely care about their patients. I only wish I had found them sooner!!

Online therapy in California, answered
-
Is online therapy and psychiatry legal and effective in California?
Yes. Telehealth for mental health is fully legal in California, and a large body of research shows online therapy and psychiatric care can be just as effective as in-person care for conditions like anxiety, depression, and PTSD. All of our care is delivered by clinicians licensed to practice in California, on a secure, confidential platform. -
Can a provider prescribe medication through a video visit?
In most cases, yes. After a thorough evaluation, your provider can prescribe and manage many psychiatric medications and send the prescription to your local pharmacy. Certain medications have additional regulations; your provider will explain exactly what applies to your situation during your visit. -
Do you accept insurance in California?
We're in-network with many major commercial plans, including Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oscar, Oxford, Carelon, Quest Behavioral Health, and Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield. Coverage depends on your specific plan, so we verify your benefits before your first appointment. We also offer transparent self-pay pricing if you're uninsured or prefer not to use insurance. -
How much does it cost?
Self-pay pricing is clear and upfront: psychiatry intake is $250, follow-ups and therapy sessions are $200, and a combined therapy-plus-psychiatry visit is $300. Your initial 15-minute consultation is free. Many psychiatric services can also be billed to insurance, which may lower your out-of-pocket cost. -
What conditions do you treat?
We care for a wide range of mental-health concerns, including generalized and social anxiety, depression (including postpartum depression), bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD and trauma, and treatment-resistant depression. If you're not sure whether we can help with what you're facing, the free consult is the perfect place to ask. -
How quickly can I be seen?
Much faster than the typical months-long wait. Most clients book a free consult within days and begin care shortly after. Because everything is virtual, scheduling is flexible around work, school, and family. -
What do I need for a virtual visit?
Just a private space and a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and internet connection. We'll send you a secure link before your appointment, with no special software or downloads required.
Ready when you are
Ready to feel a little lighter and brighter?
Start with a free 15-minute consult. No pressure, no commitment, just a real conversation about what would help. We'll be right here.
